Grove City is a growing community that is continually changing and adapting to the needs of the community. Many other central Ohio suburbs have a community art center to provide a public forum for the enjoyment and education of art. An art center in Grove City would ad another layer of sophistication to the city, attract visitors that would contribute to the local economy and augment the art program of Southwestern City Schools, especially for home schooled students and adults that may have always wanted to attend art classes but never had the opportunity.
In addition to hosting art exhibitions, the center could provide additional space for other types of cultural events of a musical and literary nature. The art center is intended to enhance the cultural environment of Grove City.
The Arts Council presently is soliciting donations to use as seed money to start the process. Donations are needed to fund a facility and cover the cost of furnishings, operations and a grant writer. If you wish to donate to the Art Center, please make checks payable to: Grove City Arts Council and mail to: Grove City Art Center, 3378 Park Street, Suite E, Grove City, OH 43123, or go to www.razoo.com and search Grove City Cultural Arts Center.
